Martins Vincent Otse, the Nigerian social media critic known as Verydarkman, is facing backlash as internet users call for his imprisonment.
This comes in the wake of new claims that veteran actor Mr Ibu’s adoptive daughter and son are being held in police custody.
On November 23, actress Doris Ogala claimed that Mr Ibu’s wife Stella Maris arrested Jasmine and Ibu’s sons for stealing N300 million from his treatment fund.
Mr. Ibu’s wife has accused Jasmine and her colleagues of fraud and embezzlement, and they are being held at Alagbon station in Lagos.
Prior to this, Verydarkman had frequently used his social media platform to defend Jasmine and Mr. Ibu’s kid against the wife’s allegations of misappropriation of donated monies.
Blogger Tosin Silverdam confirmed the accuracy of the news regarding Mr. Ibu’s wife detaining Jasmine and others in a recent video on Thursday, November 30.
He emphasised that they are currently in police custody, and that the cops allegedly collected a significant sum of money following alleged excessive expenditure on personal necessities.
Tosin’s admission stunned supporters, triggering criticism of Verydarkman for siding with Jasmine over Mr. Ibu’s wife.
Some fans even called for Verydarkman’s arrest, accusing him of allegedly conspiring with them to mislead the public.
