RCCG Constructs 1.5km Road for Abuja Residents

Over N64 million was spent by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Tree of Righteousness Parish, FCT Region 46, to build a 1.5 km road network for the locals at Fepa Quarters, Karu.

Adewale Kukoyi, the zonal pastor, informed everyone of this when the project was put into action.

He claims that as part of the church’s corporate social responsibility, they are dedicating the road that God has used them to build for the community (CSR).

Regarding the rationale behind the road project, Pastor Kukoyi clarified that not all projects belong in the hands of the government.

“In Nigeria of today, we can’t leave everything to the government. And when we say government, we are also part of them. After all, ‘democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people.’

“Also, we are people of God. God told us to let your light shine before men so that they may see your good work and glorify your father who is in heaven. God actually gave us the instruction to do this so that we may be a light to this neighbourhood.

“The primary assignment of the church and the children of God is to touch lives, and win as many souls as possible to God. In the redeemed Christian Church of God , we have what they call Christian Social Responsibility. Our authority also told us that we need to say thank you to where the church is situated. This is another way of telling the people of this environment that we love them, we’re people of peace. And as they allow the church to be in the neighbourhood, we want to impact a lot on the community as much as possible,” he said.
