Sir Alex Ferguson, Prince William, and a host of English football legends joined mourners at Sir Bobby Charlton’s funeral service on Monday.
The funeral procession honouring one of the England’s greatest-ever players passed by Old Trafford before reaching Manchester Cathedral for a memorial service.
Ferguson, who arrived with former United CEO David Gill, offered words about the legend.
“He was a fantastic man. I’m here at United because of Bobby Charlton.
“The day I came, he supported me 100 per cent, all the way. He was totally behind me and everything we tried to do with youth,” Ferguson said.
United players, past and present, also paid their respects. Maguire, Shaw, Evans, and Heaton represented the current squad.
Former stars Crerand, Stepney, Robson, Scholes, Keane, Schmeichel, and Cole also attended.
