Jose Peseiro says he has perfect replacements for Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho who will not play against Mozambique on Monday.
Both players have been sidelined, after their participation in a recent 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia.
Napoli striker Osimhen who sustained an injury during the game, has returned to Italy for medical treatment, while Kelechi Iheanacho, who contributed to Nigeria’s second goal in the match, has left camp to attend to personal matters.
Despite the new development, Super Eagles coach Peseiro is confident that he has quality replacements for the duo.
He said, “We will miss Kelechi and Victor, but we have other good players who can make Nigeria proud. I look at the bench and see players who can step up and take their chances.”
The Monday match which marks the fifth-ever senior-level clash between Nigeria and Mozambique, is scheduled to take place at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira by 4pm Nigeria time,
