The organisers say the conference will help polygamous individuals discover new perspectives, connect with like-minded individuals, and have fun while at it.
“Polygamy is part of our rich human history and it is time we discussed it openly without fear of stigma,” one of the organisers said.
The group also said it believes in creating a space for open dialogue and understanding, which will unveil the mysteries around an beyond it.
“Let us celebrate love, sharing is caring.”
The first ever conference targeting men and women who are either already in a polygamous relationship or those seeking to join one is slated to happen in Nairobi.
The event, dubbed ‘Beyond Polygamy’ and which will go down on October 29, 2023, is seeking to attract people with a desire to demystify polygamy, and also not just further advance the agenda but also help open up the unconventional family setup to more people willing to participate.
The organisers said they are expecting the whole region of East Africa to attend the conference.
“Come connect. Polygamy can be a choice made out of love, respect and mutual consent.” Set to happen at the prestigious Emara Ole Sereni Hotel along Mombasa Road, the conference will feature a host of women and men drawn from various sectors and who all will be preaching the same mission – polygamy.
