Plantain thief caught in Ogun state begs for forgiveness, says he hasn’t eaten for days

A man who was caught stealing plantain in Sagamu area of Ogun state has begged for forgiveness, revealing that he opted to steal because he has not eaten for days.

One Ologe Clement said the suspect was caught on Wednesday morning, September 27, 2023.

According to him while sharing the images of the alleged thief on Facebook, the suspect claimed he hadn’t eaten for days.

He wrote,

“THE COUNTRY IS HARD… PLANTAIN THIEF WAS CAUGHT THIS MORNING IN SAGAMU, CLAIMING HE HASN’T EATING FOR DAY’S… what should be his punishment??? Drop your comment in the the comments section,” he wrote.

In related news, another suspected thief was arrested by police in Kano state with Eight Hundred and Ninety (890) Mobile phones recovered from him.

The Kano police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, in a statement on Wednesday said the Police Command was following up on a Public outcry received from the coordinators of Dansulaika GSM Market, Farm Center, Kano that on August 24 unknown persons broke into eleven (11) shops through the roof ceilings and stole some Mobile Phones, Desktop and Laptop Computers some sales Money, ATM cards and other accessories.
