Big Brother Naija star, actress, and filmmaker, Diane Russet, has recounted a near career-ending experience.
Speaking on Hip TV’s Trending show, hosted by Kim Oprah, Diane revealed how she lost the file of one of her movie projects and had to reshoot, which almost made her quit filmmaking.
Diane explained that the incident cost her a lot, and she took a decision to quit the movie industry, saying, “This is my last production. I am done.”
However, her industry friends encouraged her to continue, and they kept pushing her even when she felt like giving up.
Diane also shared that she initially believed that she had to go to film school to learn the basics of filmmaking.
However, her industry friends told her that she could learn on the job. Diane is still learning on the job and hopes to attend film school in the future.
Diane’s ‘Ricordi’ won the Best Original Drama Series at the 2023 African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
