“God is good” Joke Silva celebrates husband, Olu Jacobs

It is the birthday of veteran Nigerian actor, Olu Jacobs and his wife Joke Silva, has taken to social media to celebrate her husband.

Celebrating his 81st birthday, Joke posted a picture of Olu Jacobs, wishing him a wonderful birthday, praying and acknowledging God’s goodness in his life.

Joke stated that her fans have been celebrating him since May , noting that today is the official day, she called on her followers to wish her husband a very happy birthday.

She wrote:

“Show boy. Happy birthday dearest as you add plus 1 @_olujacobs God is good… always Sir Js fans have been celebrating his birthday since May. Note…. Today is the official day 11th July”.

Joke Silva, in a heartfelt interview with media personality and actress Nancy Isime, discussed how Olu Jacob battle with dementia has affected their marriage.

The Thespian described her husband as an incredible father and an amazing husband who fulfilled his responsibilities without fail.

Silva reminisced about their early years together, emphasizing that Jacobs was not only her best friend but also her everything in their marriage.

However, the progression of his ailment has brought significant changes to their relationship.

She said,

“It has not been easy… There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 percent of the time is no longer there.”

“But the thing is this when he was there, he was an incredible father to his children and an amazing husband, he was practically my best friend.”

The husband I knew is no more and there for me, but this man that is here is someone I still love.”
