‘Calm Down’ was released in February 2022 as one of the lead singles from Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses‘ and features Selena Gomez on the remix. The song has also earned certifications in other countries such as Switzerland, Italy, and the United Kingdom, as well as a platinum plaque from the RIAA in the United States.

Additionally, ‘Calm Down’ holds the record for the highest-charting African song on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching the number 8 spot, surpassing the previous record held by Wizkid‘s ‘Essence’ remix featuring Tems & Justin Bieber. The song’s music video is the most-watched Afrobeats video on YouTube, with over 427 million views, and has surpassed 2 billion streams across all platforms combined.
