‘Oleku’ crooner Ice Prince breaks silence after his release on bail

Rapper Ice Prince has tweeted for the first time since his release on bail following an assault charge.

In a tweet shared on his Twitter page hours ago, the music star recognised the importance of freedom. He simply tweeted:

Freedom is priceless”.

The rapper was released from the Ikoyi correctional facility on September 8 after spending about six nights in prison.

The 35-year-old is being tried on a three-count charge bordering on assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out its statutory duties, and abduction.

The court had earlier granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and asked him to provide two sureties.

Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin had disclosed that the rapper was arrested for driving without license plates.

Hundeyin claimed Ice Prince assaulted and threatened to throw an officer in his car into the river.
