He’s come a long way from the puffy shirt.
Jerry Seinfeld is the face of Kith’s fall 2022 campaign, the streetwear brand announced Tuesday.
The comedy legend, 68, posed for photographer Mark Seliger in looks including a floral fleece, a paisley set and a Mets cap paired with Kith’s classic varsity jacket.
The fall collection also includes several collaborations, including capsules developed with Russell Athletic for The City University of New York (CUNY), Queens College and Brooklyn College.
The move to have Seinfeld as the face of the line is all too fitting, considering he graduated from Queens College in 1976.
Seinfeld’s fans flooded the internet with excited comments about seeing the star hop on the hypebeast train.
“I’m OBSESSEDDDDDDDDDDDD !!!!!!! Y’all really set the standard so high yoooo omg 😭😩!!!!!!!” one person commented on Kith’s post, with a second calling Seinfeld “The greatest new yorker.”
“I’d love to hear his commentary during this 😂😂,” someone joked.
“Larry David next 🗣,” suggested another.
“Ok but why am I suddenly crushing on Jerry Seinfeld 👀,” one more added.
While Seinfeld is known more for his wit than what he wears, this isn’t his first fashion campaign. The comedian, who is now worth $50 million, made his modeling debut as the face of Rag & Bone’s menswear collection in 2014.
Among the other collaborations featured in Kith’s fall collection? The latest installment of 8th St by Ronnie Fieg for Clarks Originals footwear, Kith exclusive colorways of New Balance Made in USA styles, headwear with New Era, home goods with DS & Durga and more, per a press release.
Among the new collaborations and original classics, Kith’s latest range also includes Italian-made leather looks with a custom debossed paisley pattern, mohair leopard-print cardigans, color-blocked wrinkle-nylon hybrid jackets, multi-striped woven chenille jackets and pants and a range of sherpa outerwear.
Double-knit suiting, satin varsity jackets and an assortment of heavyweight fleece sets are also up for grabs as part of Kith’s Fall Classics collection.
The goods will drop this Friday at all Kith shops, Kith.com and EU.Kith.com.
