Multiple award-winning singers Davido, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Wizkid, were absent at the 15th edition of the Headies Awards.
The ceremony was held on Sunday, September 4 in Atlanta, United States of America.
Although Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid won multiple awards at the ceremony, they were not physically present to receive them.
Wizkid led with four wins, making him the most awarded artiste of the night. The Grammy winner won the awards for Best Afrobeats Album for Made in Lagos, Album of the Year for Made in Lagos (Delux Edition), Best Collaboration for Essence featuring Tems and Best RNB single.
Davido followed by winning the Best Digital Artiste of the Year and also won a Humanitarian award.
Burna Boy won Best Male Artiste and Artiste of the Year awards.
Tiwa Savage who was nominated for Best Female Artiste and Best RNB Album lost the Award to Tems who won in both categories. Tiwa also lost the Recording Artiste of the year to Patoranking.
Others who were absent at the ceremony include Femi Kuti, Naira Marley, Timaya, Wande Coal, Simi and 2face. Some of the celebrities that attended the event include, Olamide, Omawumi, Ruger, Ayra Starr, Kcee, Flavour and BNXN.
BNXN who bagged the Next Rated award, dedicated it to his mum who died of cancer, fellow nominees Ruger and Ayra Starr and Grammy winner Burna Boy.
