Juventus predicted lineup vs PSG

Juventus face their toughest test of the season so far when they head to Parc des Princes on Tuesday to open their Champions League campaign against PSG.

Massimiliano Allegri has come under fire for some underwhelming tactics in recent weeks and watched on as his side clung to a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina with all they had. They’ll need more than that against PSG, however.

With a lot of injury issues to contend with, here’s how Allegri could set up.

GK: Mattia Perin – With Wojciech Szczesny still not fit, expect Perin to start again. The stand-in stopper was superb against Fiorentina.

RB: Danilo – Injuries elsewhere may mean Danilo has to step back in at right-back for this one.

CB: Leonardo Bonucci – He’s only just coming back from a muscle injury but Allegri may need Bonucci’s experience to help here.

CB: Bremer – The summer signing has impressed since his move to Turin, replacing the departed Matthijs de Ligt.

LB: Alex Sandro – A new left-back will be on Juve’s shopping list soon enough, but for now, it’s Sandro who gets the starts.

DM: Manuel Locatelli – Gets a whole lot of time on the ball in Allegri’s system but needs to be more effective with it if this team are to get anywhere.

CM: Leandro Paredes – He’s only just left PSG on loan but Paredes is eligible to face his parent club and can expect to start here.

CM: Weston McKennie – McKennie’s ball-carrying abilities are an underrated part of this team and one which doesn’t always get the credit it deserves.

RW: Juan Cuadrado – Angel Di Maria was taken off at half time against Fiorentina as a precaution to an injury which Allegri has yet to reveal. It may be too much of a risk to play him here.

ST: Dusan Vlahovic – Vlahovic was rested against Fiorentina, so much so that he didn’t even get off the bench in a 1-1 draw. Allegri clearly wanted him fit for this one at all costs.

LW: Filip Kostic – Playing in a more advanced role than the one in which he made his name, Kostic registered his first assist of the season against Fiorentina.
