Not all heroes wear capes — but Julianne Moore does.
The “Boogie Nights” beauty, 61, donned a Valentino dress worthy of the chicest Marvel character for the “White Noise” premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2022 Wednesday.
Moore’s sheer, heavily sequined ensemble included a black bodysuit and sweeping cape, with the sparkling embellishments resembling fireworks against a night sky.
Styled by Kate Young (whose other famous clients include Selena Gomez, Dakota Johnson and Michelle Williams), the Academy Award winner accessorized with Cartier jewelry, including a jaw-dropping pair of emerald-and-diamond chandelier earrings and a bracelet and rings from the company’s Panthère collection.
Fans were obsessed with the glittering gown, calling the redhead “divine,” “incredible,” and “stunning” on social media.
Fellow actress Naomi Watts described the ensemble as “glorious,” and Rita Wilson agreed, calling it “so gorgeous.”
Jessica Capshaw encouraged Moore to “Slay Queen, slay,” and even Halle Berry dropped a grand total of four flame emojis — the ultimate seal of approval.
The “As the World Turns” alum is passing down her love of fashion and beauty to her lookalike daughter, Liv Freundlich, 20.
The mother/daughter duo worked together on an Hourglass Cosmetics campaign in July.
“Liv has appreciation for makeup and fashion,” the “Still Alice” star said about Liv. “She doesn’t overdo it. She really wants to play up what she has and to not obliterate it.”
The “Dear Evan Hansen” actor, who previously said the concept of “aging gracefully” is “totally sexist,” proves one can wear a leotard and cape at any age.
Moore is presiding over the Venice Film Festival jury, so expect plenty of fun fashion moments to come.
