John Stamos got a little emotional while sending his 4-year-old son, Billy, off to school.
The “Fuller House” alum, 59, posted a smiling snap of himself and the new student matching in white shirts via Instagram Tuesday.
“One of us is starting his first day at school,” the actor captioned the social media upload.
”And the other is doing everything in his power not to cry.”
Stamos’ wife, Caitlin McHugh, shared a similar shot with Billy, wearing a white shirt of her own.
“Today was Billy’s first day at a new school!” the model, 36, wrote. “Nervousness and excitement all around.”
The couple welcomed their baby boy in April 2018, two months after their wedding.
While the pair want to give Billy a sibling, the “Grandfathered” alum told Us Weekly in February 2021 that quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic was “getting in the way” of their future family plans.
“He’s been asking for a sister,” Stamos added, noting that sharing his parents “would probably eat [Billy] up for awhile.”
The little one often hindered Stamos and McHugh’s attempts to conceive baby No. 2, the “You” alum joked to People six months later.
“We’ve been trying for a while now and it hasn’t been successful yet,” the musician explained in the August 2021 interview.
Stamos referenced their hopes for another child in May of the following year while wishing his partner a happy birthday in an Instagram tribute.
“Let’s keeping adding to these photos! (And our family),” he captioned a slideshow. “LOVE YOU.”
As for McHugh, the actress told her followers in June that she is “grateful” to be on a “parenting journey” with Stamos.
“Billy is one lucky little dude to get to call you Dad,” she gushed.
