Like mother-in-law, like daughter.
Nicola Peltz did her best Posh Spice impression while grabbing lunch at Avra in Beverly Hills with husband Brooklyn Beckham on Sunday.
Despite Page Six’s exclusive report of a cold war between Victoria Beckham and Peltz, 27, the “Transformers” actress seemed to be channeling the former pop star while out and about.
Peltz paired a fitted black T-shirt with a green knee-length skirt, silver chain belt and towering platforms, tucking her newly brunette locks beneath a thick black headband.
VB was a particularly big fan of the oversized headband in the early 2000s, using everything from Burberry kerchiefs to silky scarves to tie back her tresses.
The British fashion designer’s also long had a penchant for polished pencil skirts.
Peltz recently addressed our report that she and Victoria, 48, “can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” explaining that the rumors began when she didn’t wear one of her mom-in-law’s designs on her wedding dress, opting instead for a Valentino Haute Couture creation.
“I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” Peltz told Variety. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
Husband Brooklyn, 23, responded as well, telling publication, “I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
A number of well-placed sources in Palm Beach, where the billionaire Peltz family is based, told us the tension between the two women is more like a full-blown family feud.
“Victoria and Nicola are just collateral damage,” one insider said, with another adding, “It’s pretty obvious there’s an issue between the two families. Everybody needs to find their place. They’re just not quite connecting yet.”
Despite the drama, Brooklyn seems as besotted as ever with his new bride. The social media chef recently revealed he has a mind-boggling 70 tattoos dedicated to Peltz.
