A 57-year-old New Jersey man is facing federal charges after being accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill a 13-year-old girl in Texas.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that Armando Conceicao contacted and met with someone from May 2021 through November 2021 to discuss plans to kill the teen. According to authorities, Armando met with that person in Plainfield, and was told that he knew a guy who was charging $15 to “solve the problem.”
There was no word on how the alleged plan was discovered, or a possible motive. If convicted as charged on the murder-for-hire count, Armando faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
