The Chicago White Sox came into the 2022 season looking to defend their American League Central division title and potentially go deeper into the postseason.
Things got off to a rough start when players such as Lance Lynn, Lucas Giolito, Eloy Jimenez, and Luis Robert landed on the injured list.
In fact, just over a month ago, the White Sox were struggling to stay in postseason contention, with Tony La Russa‘s viability as the team’s manager coming into question.
However, since then, the South Siders have been on a roll.
They’re 19-11 over their last 30 games, which is the best record in the American League in that stretch.

ChiSox Taking Flight
Things can always change, even after a difficult start.
Clearly, something has kicked into gear for the White Sox, as they find themselves just two games back of the first-place Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central.
They’re also right in the thick of the Wild Card race, sitting just two games back of the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays, who are tied for the final spot with one another.
Chicago has also won four straight games.
They managed to sweep the Detroit Tigers over the weekend and pick up a win against the defending American League champion Houston Astros, who have the best record in AL as of now.
The South Siders are looking like themselves again, even in the absence of Tim Anderson.
They’ve gotten hot and now they look to take another shot at winning the AL Central.
This series with the Astros is a major test, but they’ll have a key series over the weekend against the Guardians with first place on the line.
