The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a bid to combat the increasing rate of cybercrime in the country has declared that landlords who rent their houses out to internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys) risk 15 years of imprisonment.
The message was passed via the official Instagram page of the anti-graft agency while calling on the masses to deliberate on the topic.
This announcement has stirred reactions among Nigerians as they spot loopholes in such a rule.
Making the announcement, the agency wrote:
“Okay now! What a juicy topic! E go sweet wella! Landlord way yahoo-boy dey stay for him house, my people, na 15 years imprisonment for the landlord o! E don set!”
