Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Jota picked up an ankle injury during their 2-0 win against Inter Milan
Jota was replaced by Roberto Firmino during the break of the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 clash.
Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored for the Reds to give them a healthy lead ahead of the second leg at Anfield.
However, Klopp will be sweating over Jota’s fitness ahead of the Carabao Cup final next weekend.
“I’m really happy with everything apart from obviously Diogo had to go off with something around the ankle ligament.
“We will see. We don’t know exactly. He could play on, which is maybe a good sign. Half-time the ankle was swollen already, so we had to change,” Klopp told BT Sport.
