Lagos state police command has warned youths about drug abuse following the death of a young boy at a birthday party in the state.
Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the 21-year-old boy identified as Micheal Arigbabuwo died at a birthday party after allegedly mixing two hard drugs for maximum effect.
Hundeyin said the police division in Ikorodu received a call at about 7 pm on Friday, September 23, that some group of “Yahoo boys” brought a corpse to the Igbogbo area of the community.
This led to the arrest of three suspects who claimed the deceased allegedly smoked loud and drank codeine at a birthday party of one of their friends held in Igbogbo.
He reportedly began gasping for breath afterward and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead. Investigation into the case has now commenced.
Hundeyin said;

“The suspects claimed that the deceased allegedly smoked loud and drank codeine at a birthday party of one of their friends held at Igbogbo area of Ikorodu.
