Both Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols are in their final seasons.
Both have officially announced that 2022 will be their last year in the big leagues.
But the two St. Louis Cardinals legends are making sure to soak up every last bit.
Yesterday, Pujols played the hero for St. Louis, hitting two home runs, one of which was a three-run homer that ended up being the difference in the game.
After the game, Pujols got a nice little water bath from Molina, who splashed his buddy during his postgame interview.
The Cardinals tweeted a photo of the moment with a caption that read “The Fountain of Youth.”

Pujols, Yadi Let Loose
It’s nice to see Pujols and Molina having fun in their final season.
It’s fitting that Pujols came back to St. Louis to spend one more year with Molina and Adam Wainwright.
These two are keeping things loose and having a great time as they soak up all the great moments that come during the baseball season.
But both of these guys still have what it takes to be successful at the big-league level.
Pujols proved it yesterday with his towering home runs, and Molina is still able to nab a baserunner attempting to steal from his knees.
They may be veterans, but they’re still playing like they’re in the prime of their careers, and they’re having a ton of fun doing it.
It’s been that kind of year for the Cardinals.
Perhaps having them together for one last run is giving them a little extra push as the postseason approaches.
As long as the Cardinals are winning, we’ll see plenty more moments of Pujols and Molina goofing off and having a great time.
