16-year-old declared missing after travelling to Abuja to meet Facebook contact who promise Germany travel

The family of a 16-year-old identified as Chidinma Anita Chukwudum, pictured above, has declared her missing.

Anita resides in Festac town, Lagos state and was last seen on September 18.

Her mother Mrs. Uche Chukwudum who spoke to a news outlet said Anita finished secondary school this year, wrote JAMB, had a good score and is about to gain admission into the Lagos State University.

Anita secretly packed her bag and left the house on Sunday for Abuja.

According to her mother, Anita’s sister was able to gain access to her Facebook account later which helped them to discover that she had been chatting with a person who promised to take her to Germany.

Before leaving the house, Anita reportedly left a note saying she has gone and will work toward making her family proud.

The matter has been reported to the police and investigations are ongoing.
