You Must Use Conte’s Method To Get The Best Out Of Me – Lukaku To Tuchel

Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, has come out to publicly ask manager Thomas Tuchel for “a bit of clarity” about his role
Lukaku, speaking with ESPN Brazil, outlined how the experience at Inter Milan with Antonio Conte “added qualities to my game.”

The Belgium international netted over 30 competitive goals per season in his two seasons under Conte.

The 28-year-old then sealed a return to Stamford Bridge in a €115m transfer this summer.

Since then, Lukaku has scored only six goals with two assists in 17 matches for the Blues.

“Me and the coach, we had a couple of conversations about whatever he wanted from me.

“Obviously I told him I’m multidimensional. It’s just about having a bit of clarity about how he wants to use me. And then whatever he wants from me, I can do whatever aspects he wants for the game.

“I can run in behind, I can press, I can hold the ball up. So I think throughout the years these are qualities I added to my game.

“So I just wanted an opportunity, I got it today, I’m happy that I helped the team, now I just want to move forward,” Lukaku said.
