Now that the primary elections are over, what’s left is for the campaign for the 2023 general elections to begin in earnest.
You can even say the campaign has already begun. And it’s going to be a PDP versus APC showdown of Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Very soon you can expect your favorite celebrities will start picking sides and endorsing candidates. It happened every time. No matter how bad a government or a candidate is, there’ll always be stars campaigning for them.
Now imagine waking up one day to the news that our very own Starboy who has mostly stayed away from politics has declared his support for Asiwaju.
It’s not exactly farfetched, given that Wizkid is a Lagosian and a Yoruba man. Big Lagos artists like Olamide have supported Tinubu in the past.
Personally, if one day Wizkid endorses BAT, I will seriously consider voting for the man. I mean that’s considering that the possibility of that is very unlikely.
