It’s time every progressive, reasonable person and realist to come out clearly and acknowledge that Nigeria as a country can never work.
Let’s be real. We must be real and accept realty for what it is. This forced marriage is costing us so much and the worst part is it will never work.
There is NO multi ethnic and multi religious country in the world that is working. There is NONE. There is no multi ethnic and multi religious country in the world that will work. There is no multi ethnic and multi religious country in the world like Nigeria that is stable.
Countries can only work based on a shared vision, shared belief, shared prosperity not this ethnic colony filled with different ethnic nationalities that are always squabbling every blessed day.
The people in Naija are of RADICALLY DIFFERENT hemispheres, cultures, attitudes, mindsets, ethics, values, worldviews and histories.
The Europeans know that unity in diversity is a big hoax and they created ALL their countries solely based on tribe, ethnicity and religion, and that was how they were able to develop. If Naija was an European country it would have since been divided into at least 10 different countries.
The 2023 elections only reveals why Nigeria will never work. All we are hearing is its time for IGBO presidency, others are saying YORUBA must rule, while to others says it’s still the turn of the North to retain power.
Some said No, it must be a Christian or it’s the turn of the Muslims, or it must be the turn of the South, these are the most important issues which the campaign is based on. Not development or progress.
The South and North cannot agree on many cultural, religious and ethical issues. Their differences are too irreconcilable. Arewa wants an Islamic state, that is their vision of a progressive Nigeria.
A developed Nigeria to an average arewa Muslim is an Islamic state. He or she wants infrastructure, health’s care, employment etc but he/she wants Islam to regulate his or her life and Islam should be the foundation and what regulates the society. That’s is what they want. In my opinion, give them that country. They should be free to have the country they want.
An average Northern Christian or Southerner wants a progressive and secular state, that’s his own vision of a developed Nigeria. They also want infrastructure, good economy, healthcare, jobs etc but they want the society to be regulated and the government to be based on secularism. That is what they want. Give it to them.
End this useless marriage that will never work. It’s has never worked in any part of the world, it will never work here. Only the leaders are united by corruption, while the people are permanently divided. An average person in Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Yobe likes and values a person from Niger Republic and Chad more than he likes and values someone from Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, Imo, Abia, Rivers or Ekiti.
End this marriage that will never work, let everybody go and do what will work for them. #My2cents
