Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez, currently out with an injury, is always open to learning new things from the best hitters in the world.

The New York Yankees are visiting Seattle for an important series, so J-Rod didn’t miss the chance to talk with perhaps the leading candidate to win the American League MVP award this year: Aaron Judge.

The two men had a great time in the All-Star Game, especially Julio: he put on a show in the Home Run Derby with 81 total moonshots, although he lost the final to Juan Soto.

The world got to know this talented kid, the leading candidate for the AL Rookie of the Year award and a big reason why the Mariners are currently in possession of a playoff spot.

Media caught a cool exchange between Rodriguez and Judge before today’s game at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

“After exchanging jerseys and bats… Julio Rodríguez said to to Aaron Judge ‘now for the real questions…’ and smiled and walked him over to the plate for a brief chat. #Yankees #Mariners,” ESPN’s Marly Rivera tweeted.

Judge And Rodriguez Will Dominate For Years To Come

Two of the AL’s best batters talking about hitting: many fans would even pay to know what they were chatting about!

“How can you generate so much power?” was probably one of the questions.

Judge leads MLB with 44 home runs and is on pace to threaten Roger Maris‘ franchise-leading 61.

Rodriguez has 18, but is hitting a cool .271/.334/.482 and probably had a shot at a 30-30 campaign if it wasn’t for his injury.

He will dominate baseball for a long, long time, and will likely even fight for an MVP or two with Judge down the road.
