Timi Dakolo Partners With Azeez Amida Foundation To Provide Aids For Bayelsa Flood Victims

Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has partnered with the Azeez Amida Foundation to provide relief aids for Bayelsa flood victims.

On Ocotober 26, 202, the Nigerian vocalist raised awareness to the plight of the people of Bayelsa, sharing a video of their homes flooded and properties destroyed.

The 41-year-old singer used that opportunity to solicit for support for the community, urging people to donate whatever they can afford to donate, ranging from food, water, beddings and medical supplies.

This request was honored by the Azeez Amida Foundation. In order to help the 50,000 or so Bayelsa state flood victims, the foundation has teamed up with Timi Dakolo sending out thousands of drugs for the treatment of malaria, cholera, typhoid, skin diseases, cough, and allergies to help the Bayelsa flood victims.

Additionally, first-aid kits and essentials for a healthier lifestyle are included in the care package sent to the flood victims.

Speaking about the situation, Azeez Amida, the founder of the foundation explained that the economy is tough enough on people and the flood makes things more unbearable for them.

“Nigeria’s economy has been through terrible moments in the past year, and inflation has affected people’s cost of living and income levels. The flooding has further wrecked more havoc on an already fragile economy and people, making living even more unbearable.”

Timi Dakolo received a formal presentation of all donations from the Azeez Amida foundation during the handover meeting and distribution is scheduled to start in November 2022 and continue throughout.
