#TheBest: Robert Lewandowski Wins FIFA’s Player Of The Year

Bayern Munich’s striker, Robert Lewandowski has been named “FIFA’s Best Player Of the Year“.
The Polish striker won the award following his excellent run of form for the Bundesliga team. Lewandowski scored 69 goals last year for both his club and country.

FIFA named the 34-year-old winner of the award at its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland on Monday, January 17th, 2022. He beat Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi to the award.

He was a key part of the Bayern Munich team that won the Bundesliga title last season. The forward man missed out on winning the Ballon D’or award which was held in Paris, France to Lionel Messi.
