Stacey Dash cries on TikTok as she learns DMX died a year ago

Stacey Dash just found out that DMX died more than a year ago.

The “Clueless” star, 55, broke down in tears over the rapper’s death in a TikTok video posted Wednesday, saying she was “ashamed” that she “didn’t know” about his cocaine-induced heart attack.

“I am, today, six years and one month clean, and it breaks my heart,” Dash said. “He lost to it. He lost to that demon of addiction. Please don’t lose.”

The “Single Ladies” alum acknowledged that her social media upload was “late,” adding, “I was strolling through #tiktok and found a #DMX song that has saved me many times. Suddenly it says #RIP.

“i did not know he passed away,” she went on to write. “he #OD I am heartbroken – he was such a great guy.”

Confused fans commented on Dash’s emotional footage, with one joking, “This brings in a whole new meaning to Clueless.”

Another asked, “Is this the trailer for Clueless 2?”

Many wondered where Dash has been to miss the news, noting that DMX’s death was “everywhere” last year.

The Grammy winner’s family confirmed he died at age 50 on April 9, 2021, after being left in a “vegetative state.”

“Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end,” the “Party Up (Up In Here)” rapper’s family members wrote in a statement at the time, using his real name, Earl Simmons. “He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him.”

Celebrities also paid tribute to DMX, including his “Cradle 2” co-star Gabrielle Union.

“I am forever grateful for your joy, your laugh, your protection all these years and your hugs anytime I’ve seen you,” the “Bring It On” star, 49, wrote via Instagram. “You are 1 of 1.”
