Show Promoter Slams N10m Suit Against Singer Duncan Mighty

A show promoter has slammed port-Harcourt singer Duncan Mighty with a 10 million naira suit over breach of contract.

The musician was alleged to have collected the sum of N3m from the promoter to perform as a guest artist during the grand opening of the resort in Uyo but failed to show up at the event.

A letter dated January 7, 2022, and addressed to Duncan Mighty by Essien’s Lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, (Esq), revealed that the breach of contract has caused a lot of mental distress, financial loss, negative business rating, and reputational damage to the organizers after wide publicity of his (Duncan Mighty) presence at the occasion.

The lawyer, in addition to the payment for damages, also demanded the refund of the sum of N3, 000,000 already paid and an unreserved public apology which must be published as a video on his Instagram page. They noted that failure to meet the demands within 48 hours of the receipt of the form would take legal measures against him.
