Resident Discloses How He Escaped During Terrorist Attack On Buhari’s Convoy

A resident who witnessed the attack on the convoy of President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed how he was able to escape.
Recall that Naijaloaded earlier reported that terrorists attacked President Buhari’s convoy in Katsina on Tuesday night.

The development was confirmed to newsmen by the president’s spokesman, Garba Shehu.

Though Shehu noted that his principal was not in the convoy at the time of the attack but security operatives and an advance team heading for Daura, Buhari’s hometown, ahead of Sallah, were attacked near Dutsinma in Katsina.

Sharing a personal encounter of the incident, the resident who spoke with Daily Trust said they were terrified and hid in the bush while the terrorists were repelled by a team of “gallant presidential guards.

The source explained that they were on their way to Dutsinma from the Kankara area of the state when they saw bandits in their number.

He said they remained in the bush until they sighted a long military convoy which eventually cleared the road for them to reach Dutsinma.
