A teenager identified as Obinna Obiefuleh has been reportedly beaten to death in Imo State.
understands that the disturbing incident was reported by Nigerian rapper, Ikechukwu Onunaku better known as Ikechukwu.
Ikechukwu had taken to his Instagram page on Thursday morning to air the incident, calling out the authorities to act promptly to the boy’s death.
He urged Nigerians to help seek justice for the deceased who he said is directly related to his wife. The victim, Naija News learnt was a Senior Secondary School II (SS2) student of Queen of the Holy Innocent Secondary School, Ogwueme in Ideato Local Government Area of Imo.
Ikechukwu disclosed that the 14-year-old boy was found dead in his school’s hostel at around 1 am.
He said:
“He was beaten and bruised. So many holes in this story, and frankly I am sick of these happenings. Now it has come to my doorstep.
“I urge every media portal to help bring light to the happenings surrounding this event and every other event concerning these children who we confidently give to school to look after.
“This is outrageous. No child should have to die, talkless of in this manner where they are supposed to be safe and cared for. Implore all media and bloggers to please help me pursue this to the end. #JUSTICEFOROBINNAOBIEFULEH”
Subsequently, Ikechukwu in another video clip, revealed he received derogatory comments and messages from some individuals affiliated with the school where the boy’s body was found.
