Embattled Afrobeats star, Seun Kuti has been released on bail by the Lagos state police command.
Recall that the singer was arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, popularly known as Panti, in Lagos State, for slapping a police officer at Third Mainland Bridge on May 14th.
Confirming that Seun Kuti was released on Tuesday night, the singer’s lawyer Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN) told journalists;
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago. His bail conditions had been perfected since last Thursday, but the police asked for an extension to remand him in their custody until today (Tuesday), to conclude investigation.”
