Nigerian UFC Star, Kamaru Usman Undergoes Surgery To Repair Broken Hand Injury (Graphic Photo)

Nigerian-American professional mixed martial artist and UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman has undergone surgery to repair an injury suffered before his most recent title defence.
The Nigerian Nightmare , 34, broke his right hand just three weeks prior to his UFC 268 clash with Colby Covington last November but opted not to delay the bout and went on to win by unanimous decision.

On Monday evening February 7, UFC president Dana White shared graphic images of Usman’s procedure to repair ligament damage in his right hand.

‘Pound for pound best fighter in the world @USMAN84kg had hand ligament surgery today. This is the before and after. See you soon CHAMP,’ he tweeted alongside the gruesome pictures of the UFC star’s hand.

Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz told ESPN that the champ will be ready to return to action for International Fight Week in July, which will play host to UFC 276.
