Nick Kroll pokes fun at ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ drama

Nick Kroll knows his role.

The “Big Mouth” star poked fun at himself after fans showed little interest in him at the “Don’t Worry Darling” premiere at the Venice Film Festival amid the cast’s off-screen drama.

Kroll, 44, filmed hordes of fans looking disappointed as he passed by inside a car with co-star Sydney Chandler and posted their hilarious reaction to TikTok on Tuesday.

“POV: pulling up to the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ premiere as just a supporting actor,” Kroll captioned the video.

While recording the crowd, Kroll can be heard saying, “We’re not who you want ladies. Sorry!”

Chandler, who also recognized the behavior, added with a laugh, “Not us!”

“Not Harry. Not Olivia. Not Florence,” Kroll added, referring to the alleged beef between the film’s director and main stars.

“But hey, Nick and Syd. Pretty F–king cool,” Chandler joked.

Kroll went along with the jest, saying, “I promise you, in very certain circles, we’re sort of,” before trailing off, locking eyes with a group of eager fans, and saying, “Hi, you don’t know me.”

“Quiet disappointment,” Chandler said. Kroll and Chandler then continued to sarcastically say “hi” to the fans until they rolled up to the event.

While the film itself has garnered much chatter, it’s the alleged drama between the cast and crew that really has the public talking.

The masses were most likely excited to catch a glimpse of Olivia Wilde, her boyfriend Harry Styles, and the lead actress Florence Pugh.

Wilde and Pugh are apparently beefing after the “House” alum allegedly begged Shia LaBeouf to stay on the film. Pugh apparently expressed concerns over the actor’s participation in the film because he has been accused of abuse.

Wilde had previously claimed that the “Even Stevens” alum was fired from the project and replaced by her now-boyfriend, Styles, to keep other cast members “safe” from his “combative energy.”

But LaBeouf fired back at her allegations and also sent Variety screenshots of texts Wilde allegedly sent him in August 2020 after he expressed a desire to quit.

“Firing me never took place, Olivia,” LaBeouf had told her.

“And while I fully understand the attractiveness of pushing that story because of the current social landscape, the social currency that brings. It is not the truth.”

Meanwhile, sources previously claimed to Page Six that Pugh was unhappy while filming because of Wilde hooking up with Styles before her breakup from Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares two kids.

“I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry,” one insider told Page Six.

“Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable,” the insider added.

Things don’t seem to be on the mend for Pugh and Wilde as the 26-year-old actress won’t be attending the New York City premiere of the film amid the ongoing drama.
