Chicago Bears outside linebacker Roquan Smith can improve any team that he will join.

But for his trade request to happen, the team should find the best partner for his skill.

Teams should line up to acquire a player of his caliber, especially after being a Second-Team All-Pro over the last two seasons.

He followed up his 98 solo tackles in 2021 with 95 in 2021.

The former Georgia standout also has 14 sacks, 17 passes defended, and five picks in his career so far.

Teams that will trade for Smith should be able to absorb the $9.7 million Chicago owes him under his fifth-year option.

In that case, CBS Sports shared the best destinations for Smith.

Writer Tyler Sullivan included the Dallas Cowboys as a possible landing spot to replace Leighton Vander Esch.

Aside from the upgrade, team owner Jerry Jones isn’t afraid of making huge financial commitments like Smith’s salary.

He could also play for the Miami Dolphins because his skill complements the likes of Jevon Holland, Christian Wilkins, and Xavien Howard.

The New England Patriots could also have a say to find a better option at middle linebacker than Cameron McGrone and Ja’Whaun Bentley.

Broncos And Ravens The Top Landing Spots

The Denver Broncos could upgrade their middle linebacker spot which looks like a donut hole in the current rotation.

Smith is a better option by far than Jonas Griffith and Josey Jewell, making the trade sensible.

He would also have a great time playing with Randy Gregory and Bradley Chubb.

Lastly, Sullivan considers the Baltimore Ravens as the best destination because of their thin depth chart at Smith’s position.
