Nathan Redmond seals permanent Besiktas move

Nathan Redmond has left Southampton to join Turkish side Besiktas.

The former Norwich winger made 232 appearances for Saints while at St Mary’s, scoring 30 goals.

Redmond played just one match for Southampton this season – a very late substitute appearance in the 4-1 defeat at Tottenham – and joins 16-time Turkish champions Besiktas who are currently top of the Super Lig.

A Southampton statement reads: “Everyone at Southampton Football Club would like to thank Nathan for his years of dedicated service both on and off the pitch and wish him every success in the future.”
