With less than two months left in the season, the race for the postseason is heating up.

Not only that, but the races for the major awards at the end of the season are also gaining some traction.

Today, we’ll focus on the Cy Young Award races.

Several pitchers have made their mark this season, from Sandy Alcantara, all the way to Justin Verlander.

The races are tight and could go in any direction.

But MLB tweeted the predictions made by MLB.com analysts for who would ultimately win the Cy Young Awards.

As of right now, it appears that Verlander and Alcantara are still the favorites to win the award.

Cy Young Races Heating Up

The race is heating up.

While it looks like Verlander and Alcantara are the top choices in their respective leagues, there are plenty of other star pitchers who are knocking on the door.

Last year’s NL Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes can’t be counted out.

There’s also Dylan Cease, who has put together a fantastic season and has the second-best ERA in baseball behind Verlander.

The race for the AL Cy Young Award is neck and neck between the two of them.

It’s not quite as close in the National League.

Alcantara seems to have a firm grasp on it.

But as we know, things can change in baseball, and they can change very quickly, so Burnes still has a chance to repeat.

Another guy worth watching is Julio Urias, the ace for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who has posted a 2.49 ERA to date.

With less than two months left, things are going to get crazy, and we’ll see who ultimately comes out on top.
