Mason Greenwood: Nike Terminate Manchester United Forward’s Sponsorship Deal

A week after Man U suspended their relationship with Mason Greenwood, Nike spokesperson has revealed they have terminated their deal with the star player.
Greenwood has been ostracised by the Red Devils after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, following posts shared on social media by his girlfriend.

“We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood,” Nike said in a statement last week.

“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”

The 20-year-old prodigy was then released on bail, but according to the Athletic, Nike has decided to terminate their deal with the 20-year-old.

“Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete,” a Nike spokesperson told the Athletic.

Frustration in the United dressing room
Several Manchester United players have reportedly unfollowed Greenwood on social media following his arrest.

Meanwhile, others are not happy that the Englishman has been ostracised by teammates, as they claim that this move suggests that there is no unity in the dressing room.

“One player, in particular, is furious about it,” a source told the Sun.

“He feels that ditching Mason shows they are not together.

“If Mason is convicted of what he has been accused of, then clearly all the players will be horrified.

“But the police haven’t even decided if they have enough evidence to charge him or not yet.

“Some of those closest to him feel the course of justice should be allowed to run.

“But when some of the players started dumping him, they felt they had to as well.
