M.I Abaga Joins YCee To Drag Rick Ross’ Team For Ignoring Nigerian Rappers

Nigerian rapper, M.I has joined his colleague, Ycee to call out the show promoters for Rick Ross after they failed to include rappers.

Recall that Ycee took to Twitter to rant after watching clips of Davido, Tiwa Savage, Buju, and other Afrobeats artists performing at Rick Ross’ concert. According to him, their decision to ignore Nigerian rappers at a show organized by an American rapper is the reason rappers are switching careers.

Reacting to the videos and Ycee’s rant, M.I decided to speak up. He revealed he is not surprised because Afrobeats Industry has never respected HipHop.

M.I noted that he realized this in 2008 when he was paid to perform with Jay Z, Rihanna, and Usher. According to him, these American artists didn’t even respect him as a person, but he had no choice but to continue with the business.

He also used the opportunity to mock his colleagues for not listening to him when warned them about Afrobeats taking over. According to him, many Nigerian rappers would have benefitted more if only they listened to him.
