Lagos factory worker kills friend over N300 change

A Lagos factory worker, identified as Toheeb Kilani, has set on his heels after allegedly stabbing his colleague, Emmanuel Ojo, to death during an argument over N300 in the Mushin area of Lagos State.

According to the report, the duo boarded a motorcycle to Kilani’s residence on Asabi Street, Mushin. On alighting, they were bounded by a N300 change to share which led to an argument that degenerated into a fight.

Kilani eventually brought out a cutter and stabbed Ojo in the neck.

He immediately fled the scene, leaving his friend to bleed to death.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the police is on the trail of the fleeing suspect.

“The incident happened around 1pm at Ashabi Street, Mushin, where a fight broke out between Toheeb Kilani and 20-years-old, Emmanuel Ojo.

“They had a misunderstanding and Kilani stabbed Ojo with an object and he collapsed. Ojo was rushed to the general hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

The suspect escaped and efforts to apprehend him are still ongoing,” he said.
