Real Madrid hitman Karim Benzema has finally resumed training with the Spanish La Liga champions after being away from the team through injury.
Benzema is expected to feature in Real Madrid’s next game against Osasuna in La Liga on Sunday. The France international seems to have continued from his fine form last season – with four goals in his first six games this new season.
However, hasn’t played for Madrid since picking up an injury in their champions league game against Celtic earlier this month.
Karim Benzema has revealed that he’s ready to return to the pitch and help his team fight for trophies this season.
“I have done a lot of physical work. I have not touched the ball. Today was my first training,” he said.
“These days I did a lot of running and strength inside the facilities. I also trained at home. I arrived a little late from the holidays and I didn’t have much time to do a good preseason. That’s why I’ve done it now and I feel very good.
“I’m happy to be back with the team. Time has passed and I have had time to do a preseason. I feel very good, comfortable. I want to play on Sunday.”
