Just Like Beyonce & Drake, Wizkid Has Helped Chris Brown Chart On The Billboard Hot 100

Finally, Chris Brown’s collab with WizKid, “Call Me Every Day” has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Afrobeats song sits at the 76th spot on this week’s Billboard Charts. It is the highest-charting song from Chris Brown’s latest album, “Breezy” this week. Only one other single from the album has charted higher (“Iffy”) and that was before the album release weeks ago.

For the past two weeks or so now, Wizkid has come under fire for not being able to take the number one spot in Nigeria for Chris Brown.

But debuting on the Billboard like that, there’s no doubt that Wizkid’s still got some of that mojo left. Maybe only in the United States, but even that is a big deal. Talk about Billboard Hot 100, and Asake will have to leave the group chat.

“Call Me Every Day” is Wizkid’s fourth entry on the Hot 100. His first entry came in 2016 when he assisted Drake on “One Dance.” The song peaked at No. 1 and is Wizkid’s highest-charting song ever.

The next entry came in 2018, when he gifted Beyonce the biggest song on her Lion King project. “Brown Skin Girl” also peaked at No. 76 and was on the chart for one week.

In 2021, he got his third entry with his smash hit, “Essence” featuring Tems and Justin Bieber. The song reached No. 9, and charted for 35 weeks!

With this Hot 100 debut of “Call Me Every Day,” Wizkid is now the African artist with the most entries on the most prestigious chart.

He did it for Drake, did it for Beyonce, and now he’s given Chris Brown the biggest song on his album. Wizkid is the real African Giant!
