Contrary to speculations, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has said the he is still very much in the governorship race on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, AMILOADED reports.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the media organ of Babayemi’s campaign organisation on Monday.
The statement read, “Our Principal has been receiving calls from his numerous admirers over a dubious report by some faceless individuals insinuating his (Babayemi) withdrawal from the gubernatorial primaries scheduled to hold few hours away.
“The said report remains in the figment of imagination of the individuals behind such.
“There is no way Omooba Dotun Babayemi will withdraw from the governorship race few hours after he was chosen as the candidates by stakeholders in the party.
“The media organ of Omooba Babayemi’s campaign organisation therefore advised members of the general public and newsmen in particular to discountenance such report and to always cross-check facts about their principal from appropriate quarters.”
