Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has spoken for the first time about the club’s interest in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona.
Tuchel had worked with Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund, a spell where the striker netted 79 goals for the Bundesliga team.
When asked about the possibility of signing the former Arsenal captain, Tuchel told reporters on Friday:
“I would be interested in the 79 goals actually.
“But I will not comment on Auba to Chelsea links.”
The Blues are believed to be in the market for a new frontman after Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan on a one-year loan deal.
Timo Werner is also rumoured to be unhappy at Stamford Bridge and could return to RB Leipzig.
