“I am so angry” -Wumi Toriola reacts after Murphy Afolabi’s burial committee calls out Adunni Ade over N250,000

In a surprising turn of events, Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has been publicly called out for an alleged debt owed to the late actor, Murphy Afolabi.

The incident unfolded during the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in honor of the deceased actor, where members of the burial committee voiced their concerns about the unpaid amount.

According to the committee, Adunni Ade was said to owe Murphy Afolabi a sum of N250,000 before his untimely passing. Initially, there were reports of Murphy owing money to various individuals.

However, it has now come to light that the late actor had actually paid Adunni Ade, also known as Adunni Adewale, the sum of N150,000 for a job.

Following this correction, the committee pleaded with Adunni Ade to return the full amount of N250,000 to support the burial committee’s efforts in providing for Murphy Afolabi’s children.

In a heartfelt appeal, they emphasized the importance of honoring their request and expressed gratitude to those who have contributed thus far.

 

In response to the public call-out, fellow Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola took to Instagram to express her frustration.

She wrote;

No be only me see shege, Adunni shege wan pass sef, what is this, I am so angry, na death dey cause this kind thing, rest on Murphy.”

As the news of Adunni Ade’s alleged debt circulates, fans and industry observers have been sharing their opinions and speculations.

The actress herself has yet to respond publicly to the accusations, leaving many curious about her side of the story.
