Hudson-Odoi Told To Leave Chelsea Football Club Immediately

Former Chelsea star, Glen Johnson has told winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi that his time at the club is over.
He advised the England player to stop wasting his time at Stamford Bridge but to seek a move to a club like Newcastle United where he would have the opportunity of playing every week.

Hudson-Odoi broke into the Chelsea’s first team in 2018 and has gone on to make more than 100 appearances for the Blues.

However, he only started 11 of the club’s 38 Premier League games last season and the 21-year-old now faces more competition at the club following the arrival of Raheem Sterling.

And Johnson, a former Blues defender, believes Hudson-Odoi’s days at Stamford Bridge are over.

“…He [Hudson-Odoi] has spells where he looks unplayable and then he has days where it looks like he shouldn’t be playing in the Premier League.

“If he gets his head straight, then I think he’s got a lot to offer but I think his days at Chelsea are over to be honest. He’s still young but for me he’s got a lot to learn.

“He needs to play football every week, so to go somewhere like Newcastle where he’s being taken out of his comfort zone to focus on his football. Maybe Newcastle will get the best out of him.

“A loan move would possibly work if he goes somewhere to play every week,” he said.
