Terri has had it a little rough, but he’s not the worst.
The youngster who became a sensation when he got a deal with Wizkid’s Starboy Records is not a new name in the industry. He has even had hits in the past.
But being on Wizkid’s record label means he doesn’t get a lot of attention from Wizkid himself and most times he doesn’t get to do what he wants. This has affected his career a great deal as he’s not been able to put out enough projects for the world to hear what he’s about.
However, Terri is not the worst case ever. The guy still keeps working and working. It looks like he just might have caught a break.
A while ago, he released his second EP, “In Transit” and he has since gotten a lot of good reviews. The EP is a banger and he has two mild hits in “Danger” and “For Here.” But something tells me, with the right connection it could be even bigger.
For example, a remix of “For Here” with Mayorkun will certainly bang (Mayor has shown interest in the song) and that could put him back up with the rest of his peers. I’m sure Terri wouldn’t mind being named alongside guys like Fireboy and Joeboy once again.
Okay, so maybe Terri wouldn’t be the next Wizkid or anything. But he’s got talent and if he continues to do his thing on the low, five years from now he’ll definitely emerge as a force to reckon with in the industry. Sort of like Kizz Daniel. He’s got enough time, and he’s certainly got the talent. All he needs right now is just commitment and hard work.
In the end, no matter what happens now, talent and hard work will always pay off. If it happened for Kizz Daniel, then it’s not impossible for Terri. For now, fingers crossed.
