The X user identified as @BukkyOA shared that the incident occurred while she was still in school, and the man who declared his intention to marry her sent cryptic messages and threatened her.

According to @BukkyOA’s tweet, which has garned over 2 million views, she kept the situation to herself for the first few weeks.
However, the man sent her a particular message that prompted her to tell her father.
Subsequently, the man visited her parents’ house demanding to see her, but the gate wasn’t opened for him, so he ended up sleeping outside overnight.

According to @BukkyOA, her father embarked on a seven‑day fasting.
He also held night vigils without involving her, and after the fast she neither received a message from the man nor saw him.
